Weed Scientists Attend Regional Meeting, Professors Emeriti Honored
North Dakota State University (NDSU) weed science faculty and staff attended the 75th Western Society of Weed Science (WSWS) annual meeting in Newport Beach, California, March 7-10, 2022.
Richard Zollinger and Rodney Lym, NDSU professors emeriti, were recognized for their contributions to the Society. Zollinger was honored as a WSWS Fellow. Lym received special recognition for his collaborative work to update the history of the Society over the past three decades. The work completes the historic record of the WSWS since its foundation in 1938.
Harlene Hatterman-Valenti serves on the WSWS Board of Directors. She also served as chair of the Horticulture section in 2021.
Kirk Howatt was elected chair-elect of the Teaching and Technology Transfer section.
