Cavalier County Extension

Welcome to Cavalier County in northeast North Dakota. Cavalier County is known as the canola capital of North Dakota and is home to the Langdon Research Extension Center.  Currently, Cavalier County has the largest wind farm in North Dakota with 133 wind turbines.  The county also offers the beautiful scenery of the Pembina Gorge.

NDSU Extension Service in Cavalier County gives local residents easy access to the resources and expertise of North Dakota State University. Through educational programs, publications, and events, extension agents deliver unbiased, research-based information to Cavalier County citizens.
