Dangi awarded first place in student poster competition

North Dakota State University M.S. candidate Bhanu Dangi received first place in the student poster competition at the 2022 National Fusarium Head Blight (FHB) Forum held December 4-6 in Tampa, Florida.

The event, organized and hosted annually by U.S. Wheat and Barley Scab Initiative, featured general and breakout sessions, workshops, and student poster sessions. 

Dangi presented a poster titled “Diversification of FHB Resistance QTL in Winter Wheat Germplasm” which is co-authored by his M.S. degree advisor Dr. Francois Marais. Bhanu is also the newly-elected president of the Plant Sciences Graduate Student Association with his term beginning in 2023.  He joins NDSU from Nepal after receiving his undergraduate degree from Chandigash University in India.
