Erosion is the wearing away of the land surface

Soil compaction reduces the total pores space of a soil, limited pore space is restrictive to air and water movement throughout the soil. Compaction can be caused by tillage, wheel traffic, crop rotation, or raindrop impact.

Aggregation – Arrangement of primary soil particles (sand, silt, clay) around soil organic matter and through particle associations. Aggregate stability is a good indicator of soil health.
