OPPORTUNITIES ABOUND

The gardens provide a number of opportunities:

  1. They provide students with research opportunities and the ability to learn in a garden environment.
  2. They provide the public with an informative, beautiful and peaceful garden setting to view and to learn about available varieties. In the future, outdoor social functions may be held there.
  3. The gardens provide an attractive entrance to NDSU.

TOURS

Formal or informal tours are available during the summer season. The advantage of taking a tour is that you can learn more about what varieties are available and grow well in this region. If you belong to a club or church group, arrange a tour as part of your activities for the year. Walk through the gardens on your own or with friends, enjoying the beauty that nature provides.

VOLUNTEER

There are various ways you can help:

  1. Arrange a time that suits you and enjoy the spacious gardens while helping to maintain them. Simple weeding, dead-heading of spent flowers, spreading mulch or helping to make paths are all ways to assist.
  2. Bring a friend, make it fun and afterwards relax under the trees, viewing the results of your labor.
  3. Local clubs, youth and church groups can organize an afternoon of fun and fellowship and enjoy the ambience while maintaining the beauty of the gardens.
