FNP (SNAP-Ed)
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) is a federally funded program available in all states. SNAP-Ed in North Dakota, known as the Family Nutrition Program (FNP), is provided through NDSU Extension. FNP helps limited-resource families:
- Make food decisions that support a healthful diet and stretch food dollars
- Cook nutritious meals and prepare food safely
- Adopt an active lifestyle
This free program is for youth and adults who are eligible for assistance programs, such as:
- Women, Infants and Children (WIC)
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
- Head Start
- Free or reduced-price meals
