Summary

  • Based on the Drought Monitor map published this morning (July 27), at least 20% of the state (a six percent increase in coverage area since last week) is in drought (at least in D1), putting nearly 90,000 ND citizens in drought (Slide 6).
  • This week, the Drought Severity and Coverage Index (DSCI) value is 84 (A 16-point increase compared to last week).
