Summary

Based on the Drought Monitor map published this morning (July 27), at least 20% of the state (a six percent increase in coverage area since last week) is in drought (at least in D1), putting nearly 90,000 ND citizens in drought (Slide 6).
This week, the Drought Severity and Coverage Index (DSCI) value is 84 (A 16-point increase compared to last week).
