ND 4-H Foundation scholarship applications are due March 1.

Eligibility for North Dakota 4-H Foundation Scholarships

Scholarship candidates must be:

  • A high school senior and accepted at an accredited post-secondary school or enrolled as an undergraduate at an accredited post-secondary school
  • Age 21 or younger as of Sept. 1 of the current 4-H year
  • A current or former North Dakota 4-H member
  • A North Dakota 4-H member for at least one year at the time of application

Certain scholarships have additional special eligibility or selection requirements.

  • Applicants may apply for more than one of these scholarships on the online form.
  • If an applicant has won a specific scholarship in a previous year, the applicant no longer is eligible for that scholarship.
  • If a youth has applied for a North Dakota 4-H scholarship in previous years, the applicant must submit an updated application each year.
  • If you are still a high school student but also taking college classes, complete both sections of the online form.

Prepare to Complete the Online Form

  • Request two letters of recommendations from adults you’re worked with. Save as PDFs for upload.
  • Save your up-to-date high school and/or college transcripts as PDFs to upload.
  • Prepare responses to these questions and save as a PDF to upload to the online form. Limit your answers to all four sections to a total of three pages.
